Last Monday, we were slated for 4 Hillsborough County inspections:
- Termite
- Pool Plumbing Final
- Pool Enclosure Footing
- Pool Electric Bond
The
inspector arrived early and thanks to digital technology, we were able
to confirm the inspections were all completed, passed/approved online by
9:15am!
BEST MONDAY!!! YEAH!
It
was quiet on the reserve until Wednesday afternoon when Scott, (bless
his heart - it was right in the heat of the day!), came back and poured
in the concrete for the monolithic footer framing our eventual deck
area.
By the time I got home from work, the concrete was set and really gave us a
better visual on the eventual footprint of this project once it's completed with the screened enclosure.
AWESOME JOB, SCOTT!!!
All was quiet again
until Scott arrived briefly on Friday to retrieve the leftover re-bar and to remove the wood planks and stakes he had used to block out the footer.
We
knew that there would eventually be a point where the "full speed
ahead" M.O. would slam right in to a comparatively quiet week. It's
really not difficult to understand if I force myself to step back and
look at the BIG PICTURE.
Simply put, managing so many projects forward while employing only "A
List" crews, ensures the highest standard of workmanship - from what we've seen, this is a Gulfstream trademark! But, the price
you pay for the best can be a little lag time now and again as one crew may
finish early or late depending on the unique set of circumstances at
each job site.
TOTALLY WORTH THE WAIT!
And now we have Hurricane Matthew churning right through the center of the Caribbean with a mad eye set on hugging the east coast of Florida. (Sending prayers and support for those in the Caribbean hardest hit so far...)
That
being said, Cabana Girl has been biting her nails - anxious for some
PROJECT ACTION...even as her DH gently reminds her (as he has since the
day they signed the contract), to be patient.
It's Monday again...and Cabana Girl may just need to schedule herself a manicure...
